8-1474. "Suspension of a driver's license" defined. "Suspension of a driver's license" means the temporary withdrawal by formal action of the division of a person's license or privilege to operate a motor vehicle on the highways.

CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Nonresident Violator Compact (K.S.A. 8-1219) does not violate "period specifically designated" requirement herein. State v. Hudon, 243 Kan. 725, 729, 763 P.2d 611 (1988).

2. Cited in examination of habitual violator act (K.S.A. 8-284 et seq.); what constitutes "immediately preceding five years" (K.S.A. 8-285) determined. State v. Walden, 15 Kan. App. 2d 139, 146, 803 P.2d 1054 (1991).
