12-340. Consolidation of Kansas City, Kansas, and Wyandotte county; definitions. As used in the act:

(a) "Commission" means the consolidation study commission of Kansas City, Kansas, and Wyandotte county.

(b) "City" means Kansas City, Kansas.

(c) "County" means Wyandotte county.

Attorney General's Opinions:

Without Johnson County Commissioner's approval of Oz Entertainment Company's redevelopment plan, Kansas Development Finance Authority cannot issue bonds. 2001-46.

Legislative proposal to consolidate Shawnee County and city of Topeka does not violate city's home rule powers; townships would continue to exist. 2005-17.

Absent specific limitations on appropriations, legislative committee may not require executive and judicial agencies to obtain committee's approval prior to spending appropriated funds on certain technological projects. 2006-3.
