48-243. Faithful performance of duties required. The commanding officer of a military organization ordered into active service shall faithfully perform the duties required and such officer shall not hinder or prevent the civil authorities in a faithful performance of their duties, nor shall any officer or enlisted person neglect or refuse to obey the lawful orders of the commanding officer issued in line of duty.
