CASE ANNOTATIONS
1. Under the CLASS act, legislature failed to cure wealth-based disparities in calculating and distributing capital outlay state aid and supplemental general state aid that were identified in Gannon I. Gannon v. State, 303 Kan. 682, 729-33, 368 P.3d 1024 (2016).
2. Classroom learning assuring student success (CLASS) act violates section 6 of article 6 of the constitution of the state of Kansas as not reasonably calculated to have all Kansas public education students meet or exceed the Rose standards because the act does not establish a school finance formula, does not allocate sufficient resources and does not produce sufficient performance outcomes. Gannon v. State, 305 Kan. 850, 889-92, 390 P.3d 461 (2017).
