76-1002a. Subject to the other provisions of this act, unclassified employees of the Kansas state school for the deaf shall serve at the pleasure of the superintendent, subject to policies approved by the state board of education, and shall receive annual salaries fixed by the state board of education within appropriations therefor authorized by the legislature. Employees of the Kansas state school for the deaf who are not in the unclassified service shall be in the classified service of the Kansas civil service act and shall have the rights and privileges granted thereunder.
